ACSA can be said as apple certified system administrator. This certification validates the very deep knowledge in apple architecture and also validates the skills as well as knowledge required to configure and install machines, troubleshooting of wide range services, integrating Mac OS X, Mac OS X server, enabling, customization, tuning and other apple technology related multi platform networks. ACSA certification is also indented for engineers as well as full time system administrators who can able to manage complex multi platform deployment from medium to large networks.

In order to obtain this ACSA certification, candidates need to take up examinations that are related within the program.

ASCA certification examination:

The following are the examinations for ACSA certification and they are:

1)      Exam code number: 9L0-509 or Mac OS X server essentials 10.5 version

2)      Exam code number: 9L0-620 or Mac OS X directory services 10.5 version

3)      Exam code number: 9L0-619 or Mac OS X Deployment version 10.5

4)      Exam code number: 9L0-621 or Mac OS X advanced system administration version 10.5

During recent times, in order to provide the candidates to focus in greater flexibility and also to focus on good scale pay of jobs, ASCA certification has been revised in new versions. All examinations are elective based and hence candidates can select their own specialization according the candidate’s need. Each examination has its own specialization certificate point and also certain number of credits as well towards the ACSA certification. Hence candidates will be earning their credits and specialization points. All these credits obtained by the candidates are valid for 2 years from the successfully certified date. Total of 7 credits has to be achieved by candidates in order to get the complete ASCA certification. Candidates have to keep on renewing on each credit after the expiry date in order to keep their certification valid further.

Every examination are fully based on Mac OS X 10.4 version server as well as Mac OS X.
